Hi! I’m Natalia, nice to meet you.

My mission is to help mindful companies and people do their part to make the world a better place by delivering their messages effectively and compellingly. I make sure the lovely people I work with (I dislike the impersonal term “clients”) are happy with the results. You’ll be able to reach me with ease and speed and get two free revisions with each assignment — although this is rarely necessary.

Professional and academic background

My professional writing, editing, and translating experience began in 2002. I have written and copyedited for many publications, including magazines (e.g., CLOSER and RAG), newspapers (e.g., El Nuevo Herald), and blogs (Coggno, Save Eco Destinations, and Asistencia-Virtual.com) in both English and Spanish. I copyedit and translate multiple types of texts, ranging from the literary to the technical, in both languages  as well.

I work comfortably with AP, MLA, APA, Chicago, and Harvard styles, and quickly adapt to company-specific formats.

Academically, I boast a bachelor’s degree in British and American literature and gender studies from New College of Florida, the Honors College of Florida, in Sarasota, Florida.

Personal

When not working, I spend my time playing and cuddling with my canine friend Naomi, volunteering for a dog rescue organization and doing clinic defense on weekends, practicing yoga, jogging, blogging, reading blogs and books of all kinds, reveling in nature, and generally getting involved in social justice, animal rights, and environmental issues online and in the flesh. I’m also into evolutionary biology, self-work, healthy and conscientious living, positive psychology, and philosophy.
